Banana Bread

Turn oven on to 350 (180).  Grease a loaf pan to bake banana bread in.

Cream shortening and sugar together.  Add eggs and continue to mix well.  Mash the bananas then add to the mixture.  Add vanilla. Mix well again.

In a seperate bowl sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.  Then add to the wet mixture.  Should result in a nice and thick mixture.

Pour into pan and bake for an hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
